Joining Key Group as Chairman in January 2018, Steve Groves brought with him considerable experience gained across a career in financial services. Having started as an investment actuary at Aviva, Steve rose to become Chief Financial Officer and then Chief Executive Officer at FTSE-Listed, Partnership Group plc. Over his 11 years at the specialist annuity provider, he guided the company through its initial private equity deal to its market listing and subsequent merger with Just Retirement.
In addition to acting as Chair of Key Group, Steve is Chairman of Retirement Bridge, a Non-executive Director at Clara Pensions and a founding member of PEPTalks – a peer to peer learning community designed to support private equity backed CEOs.
Having worked across the financial services industry, I know it is vital for an organisation to not only put customers at the heart of what they do but also recognise that their needs evolve over time. Key Group works hard to live up to these aspirations and I am pleased to work with a team who not only understands the market but is constantly pushing to grow and evolve it.
